Flat Surfaces, Plastered Walls and a Labrador!

(Monday 8th September 2008 - update from Helen)

I haven’t visited Habibi for a week and was amazed by the progress, especially considering it is Ramadan. I arrived there in the afternoon a good 10 hours since the workers will have last consumed water or food and there were five men onsite all awake and working!

The big news it that they have plastered the walls inside 10 of the rooms, so they are actually starting to look a bit more like hotel rooms. The workers were busy slapping plaster on the walls of the 11th room while I was there. So 13 to go after that.

The flat surface between the last hotel rooms and the beach has been expanded and is clearly ready for the beach bar, swimming pool and landscaped gardens. There’s no sign of the Oceansource centre as yet but hopefully that’s next on their list.

More to come soon….
